The Greater Plainwell Veterans Memorial (GPVM) came into existence only due to a determined effort on behalf of the greater Plainwell area veterans and their supporters. After years of detailed planning and preparation, the GPVM was officially dedicated on November 11, 2009, Veterans Day. Every brick ordered and laid was out of love and respect for an individual who served. Every flag raised was in respect for a branch of our military, and every plant and flower placed there was done to honor all who served. Today, the GPVM is a living tribute to all veterans, their families, and their sacrifices for a grateful community and nation.
